The business world today is a global environment. The need for business students to possess a solid grasp of international business issues, including cross-cultural communication, is now more relevant than ever. The School of Business encourages students to develop their understanding and awareness of international business issues and cultural diversity.

The School of Business is internationally accredited by AACSB and EQUIS and is a member of several prestigious international education consortiums including Partnership in International Management (PIM), the Pacific Asia Consortium for International Business Education and Research (PACIBER), the European Foundation of Management Development, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and a founding member of the Association of Asia Pacific Business Schools (AAPBS). Academic Programmes - Internationalisation

The School of Business reviews international content within its curriculum so students are exposed to business issues and ideologies that are relevant nationally and internationally. Business case studies and examples are taken from around the world, as well as from New Zealand, and integrated into papers to assist learning and the attainment of practical business skills.

Students are able to specialise their degree in international business issues, and complete a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in International Business.

International Exchange Programme and Study Abroad

The School of Business has bilateral exchange agreements with more than 50 of the world's best business schools which offer a variety of business and tourism courses. Each year New Zealand-based students from the School of Business travel abroad to study overseas. At the same time, the School of Business hosts international students from exchange partner schools who enrol for one or two semesters and choose subjects drawn from the School of Business's degree offerings. The School of Business also hosts students under the Study Abroad programme organised by their respective home insitutions or placement agencies and students who choose to study overseas on an independent basis.
