ECON 309 Macroeconomic Policy
18 points. Not offered in 2009.
Overview
Politicians have typically said that there was no alternative to
the macroeconomic policy direction most governments have taken since
the early 1980s. Is this right? What perspective did different schools
of economic thought have on this policy redirection? What lessons
can be drawn from the experience of New Zealand and other countries
in reconstructing macroeconomic policy? If these issues seem interesting
then this course could be for you.
